Usually on the Saturday before the third Sunday of July on the Giudecca canal a long votive bridge of boats is set up to connect the island with the Zattere giving the possibility to walk to the church of the Redeemer (Redentore) where the Holy Mass will be celebrated. The feast of the Redentore is also remembered for the spectacular fireworks held on the night between Saturday and Sunday on the San Marco basin which will last approximately 40 minutes.
